There is plenty of parking as we will drive into the forest and park alongside the beaver fence
but meet at the metal barrier which leads into the forest at the location shown on the map.
Directions to the site are- coming from the Monmouth direction towards Cinderford/Mitcheldean
on the A4136, you enter the village of Brierley. Go past the garage and down the hill and there
are 2 left turns next to each other. You need to take the first left signed to the Pludds. Go down
that lane for a couple of hundred yards until you come to the first pull in on the left where there
is parking for a few cars and the metal barrier which leads into the woods. You can see the
beaver fence from there. The barrier will be open and we will meet there and drive into the site
together.

Note that there is absolutely no phone signal there so if you get lost we will not be able to
receive phone calls/emails.

Wellies are needed if you wish to go into the actual site to see the dams close up. The walk
along the fence is level and easy walking and in January you will be able to see the beavers
handywork, but if you would like to go in the site, there is a very short but steep uneven path.
People can choose whether to come in as those who do not wish to can wait by the gate.
There are no stiles, but you do have to duck under the fence to go through the gate into the
enclosure.
