This is a small GWT reserve home to the native wild daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus).  This area is well known for this plant and lies within
the Golden Triangle, famed for its displays of flowering wild daffodils. The aim of this visit will be to compare the floral structure of wild versus cultivated specimens using a number of physical measurements. As the optimum flowering period varies from year to year we may need to change the focus of this meeting.  Please refer to updates on the GNS website and emails.  If you are unable to do this then contact Jane Price on 07866044937 in the week prior to the meeting.

We will be delving in to the structure of the wild daffodil. Bring a ruler, hand lens and sharp knife/scalpel if possible. Although overcast it should be dry. We have a half mile walk to the site. The Reserve is steeply sloping and the ground is uneven so walking boots are recommended. We hope to finish by 12:00.
