Sunday 29th March; A walk of general interest with the chance of seeing / hearing Goshawk and other Forest birds.
We will walk from Mallards Pike Lake through Awres Glow towards Palescot & Lightmoor, dress appropriately for the weather and wear stout footwear though the walk will be along Forestry England tracks which are generally in good condition. Bring binoculars, telescopes are less useful in this environment.
Meet at Mallards Pike Lake, Forest of Dean, between Blakeney & Parkend, 10.15 for a 10.30 start, the access point is at SO 637 088, What 3 Words: engulfing.handed.bolt, postcode GL15 4HN. Parking is Pay & Display unless you have a Blue Badge or annual Forestry England membership, there is a good WC block and the café is usually open for drinks and snacks.
