GNS has decided to run the photo competition again this year, the best will feature in a Zoom meeting towards the end of the year AND / OR at the AGM in March 2027.
Images should preferably have been taken in Gloucestershire, or should at least feature species to be found in Gloucestershire.
Images will be for public display and may be used on the GNS website, in social media, in our publications or elsewhere.
Digital images only, (prints are difficult to deal with), colour or monochrome
Classes as follows –
- Any Species in its Environment
- Behaviour – any species doing something interesting
- Portrait – any species – birds, mammals, reptiles, invertebrates etc.
- Plants & Botanicals – any plant, flower, tree, lower plants, fungi etc.
- Habitats & Landscapes
- Fun and Amusing – anything that will raise a smile
- Moving Image – any short video clip, preferably 30 seconds or less and in MP4 format
- Young Persons Entry – any image, photograph or moving image by someone aged 16 or under (a member, or related to a member – children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews)
Please send entries to gnsmembership@btinternet.com, any time between now and 30th November 2026. If you are not sure which category applies, send your image anyway and we’ll find a place to put it in.
