Meet at 10 am at the Spruce Ride car park just south of Speech House – see map below – Postcode GL16 7EJ, What 3 Words: unique.willing.grips, OS Grid Ref: SO 62179 11815. Cars can then be driven along the forest tracks to the Beaver site in convoy, the tracks are suitable for 2-wheel drive vehicles unless they have very low ground clearance, (so no sports cars..!). There will be a maximum of 10 cars allowed so please arrive early and car-share if
necessary to keep within limits.
Last year’s meeting at The Pludds demonstrated the Beavers role as ecosystem engineers and this will give an opportunity to see the process in its infancy.
We will be crossing a small stream so wellingtons are the best footwear, walking boots should be adequate; the site is rough underfoot, dress appropriately for the weather on the day and bring walking sticks or poles if needed.
