Leader:  Kate Kibble

Coombe Hill Nature Reserve sits just to the north of Gloucester on a former canal.  We often use this site to observe birds and dragonflies so it will be interesting to focus on bats.  As the birds settle down for the night, their ecological niche is then filled by these nocturnal,  flying mammals.

The site is accessed along the old tow path which is uneven and muddy.  Stout waterproof footwear is advised.  Bring a torch and a bat detector if you have one.  We hope to provide some detectors for those who do not have their own.

Numbers limited to 10. Please book your place by emailing Jane Price:
