Spring birds, insects, and plants. This RSPB reserve is known for its nightingale population, and in an attempt to improve the habitat a rewetting scheme was implemented (see British Wildlife, February 2018 for a report).
The entrance to the reserve is on the north side of the A40, 1.5 km from the Highnam roundabout. Park and meet in the car park SO 778190. The tracks can be wet and muddy.
