PLEASE NOTE – The location has been checked in advance of the meeting and is very muddy to the point of being dangerous, and so the meeting is off. It will be rearranged for better weather.

This walk will show the following features of the landscape:-
- Solifluction (‘downhill sludging’) 1
- Stream meanders 2
- Locating the contact between Inferior
Oolite Lst and Liassic mudstones 3 - Spring line
- Landslip (possible)
- Cambered hillside 4
- Wind gap 5
- Contrast between scarp and dip streams
- Tumuli
Park at the Snowshill village car park (GR 097 340). If no space here, use the immediately adjacent NT carpark just to the North. Meet at the start of the footpath at the entrance to the NT carpark at 10.00.
The walk is ~5 km and will take 2-3 hrs. The climb up out of the Snowshill valley is quite steep, and muddy after rain.
