Parking in the lay-by on the north side of the A419 at the top of Cowcombe Hill, immediately north of Aston Down Aerodrome, SO910018. A good walk with a wide range of habitats ensuring a variety of plants. Starting across the plateau fields to Frampton Mansell, then down to the canal to visit the Limestone woundwort Stachys alpina and Limestone fern Gymnocarpium robertianum, then up through the woods and Cotswold grasslands back to the parking spot.
